Golden Triangle with Wildlife and Royal Castle Stay

Mahendra had excellent driving skills and we felt very safe. We appreciated getting bottled water every day so that we felt comfortable. Mahendra always cleaned the car and took his work very seriously. He was dependable and took us to additional shops etc. that we wanted to visit. The company is lucky to have him as a driver. We enjoyed the variety of experiences we had. Hotels were very good but we found ourselves being the only guests on several occasions, it being close to off season. Joining up with 2 more couples would have given it another dimension. In all, a great experience

Very detailed and interesting trip with the best available sightseeing in Rajastan and Uttar Pradesh. Comfortable accommodation with swimming pools and air conditioning led rooms. Sometimes it was in Royal palaces. Nice authentic Indian food. Clean and tasty. Good safari with tigers and wildlife seeing in Rathambhore. Amazing castles, palaces and forts. Both drivers were superb. Takat and Bovan. Their skills are amazing and safe in a very challenging roads. Well done Swastik Indian Tours. Unforgettable experience with you and best service available. It was a really good way to see the main sites of each place knowing that guides would us enable us to queue hop. Our driver, Mahendra Singh, was excellent; really good driver, keeping us safe at all times - not just with driving but the extra places he took us to, caring about the quality of food and drink etc and ensured a superbly clean car everyday with water provided. He was great company to spend days with as we drove around the various places. The guides were very knowledgeable and always there to greet us, although a couple were a little difficult to understand. The majority of hotels were great , the Sandargarh Fort was stunning and would have liked to have spent a couple of nights there as a break. However, two hotels should I be changed, the one in Udaipur - the sheets were damp & the towels wet. These were changed but still not great so we eventually moved rooms where it was slightly better. The room wasn’t checked for what we may need - no water until the second night but not in sealed bottles and we had to ask for toilet paper as there wasn’t any in the room. On the second night we asked to be taken elsewhere to eat. Also the hotel in Agra should be changed - very impressive on entry but once you enter the inner sanctum of lift to the rooms it was then grubby - not sure the hallway had been swept in days even though the vacuum cleaner was there. Linen was clean but the room and bathroom were grubby too. For us it would have been good to have hotels more central rather than outskirts as it would mean you could get a feel for the vibrancies of the cities by walking around and would be able to go out and about and find other places to eat; however I suppose this would then make it a more expensive tour. It would have been good to know you would need approximately £15 a day per person for all entrance fees and tips for guides. The wording of the programme makes it unclear that we have to pay for these and the fact they are private trips - when it states trips are maximum size of 6 people we assumed we would be put into a group, but Swastik only do private tours apparently. I did ask about entrance fee costs and how many would be in the group but these were unanswered. If we had known there would only be the two of us we would have paid for upgraded hotels. In all highly recommend the trip as it is excellent value for money.
