Private Luxury Delhi - Agra - Jaipur Golden Triangle Tour - 3 Nights 4 Days

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour of the Golden Triangle - it exceeded our expectations! Everything was organised by Mr Gupta who proved to be an excellent manager - all his arrangements worked perfectly, he let us know what was going on at all times and he kept a close eye on how the tour was progressing. Our driver, Shekhar, did a brilliant job. He always turned up on time, drove very safely and looked after us very well. Our local guides were friendly and informative and the hotels that we stayed in were of a very good standard. All places that we visited were fascinating but the sunset and sunrise visits to the Taj Mahal were truly magical!

The trip made seeing India easy. Raza the driver was accommodating and friendly. Vehicle was clean; he always had water available and was prudent. The guides in each city were knowledgeable. Sharma knew everyone and provided great insights, Asif was the guy you want taking you to the Taj; relaxed and very sharp. Deepak was friendly, well spoken, and excited to share his city. Upgrade to the 5 star hotels; they were worth the dollars. Few tips: download the WhatsApp, carry around 10k RS (tipping, shopping, admissions), use your card in the shops to maintain a good cash level. Request to eat authentic Indian food if that is your thing, wear pants in Delhi as some of the sites require you to cover up…you’ll be fine with shorts after that. If you buy, buy the things that the area is known for; you’ll have lots of opportunities…don’t feel obligated. Overall, very enjoyable trip, we were well taken care of and felt very safe.

During the tour we had 3 different tour guides. One for each city. Our driver did stay with us the entire time, which was great as we got to know him well. Each tour guide was respectful, knowledgeable and prepared. I'd welcome any one of them to lead a tour for me again. Tour guide Delhi: Sharma was great. Very knowledgeable and offering possible alternative locations to tour depending on our interest. Tour guide Agra: Asif was great as he gave us great vantage point tips for taking pictures at the Taj Mahal. He also went back for an item left behind at the Taj Mahal! Tour guide Jaipur: Dipak helped us find a bag to take all our souvenirs home and recommended a great dish to eat. Driver: Our driver Raza was fantastic. Very safe driving and has great defensive driving skills. Driving is crazy and a fun experience. He accommodated me when a souvenir purchased had a defect and took me back to the vendor for exchange. Great service! Regarding the tour itinerary - I think it was fine. I did enjoy the flexibly of the tour guides to tailor it to us as we saw fit. We were encouraged to share our interests. Other items to consider: If you are there for a culinary experience, you need to specify and give your opinion as it's not discussed unless you ask. We ended up at a few 'fancier' and more expensive restaurants but preferred the 'middle road sit down' locations as I felt it was less 'just where they take tourists' and I thought the food was better too (more Indian instead of western menu with other choices). Please provide your preference. Also, ask if the restaurant takes card first! To tour guides and drivers - Please feel free accept our initiations for you to join us for lunch. I would not believe it to take away from any file tips or gratuities after services rendered. Great experience. I recommend it.
