This tour is a LONG drive from Bangalore. The driver was 30 minutes late. We started to think he wasn't going to show! He arrived in a small vehicle which was VERY uncomfortable for such a long trip! Every other tour we booked, they drove a mini-van/SUV. We picked up the tourguide in Srirangapatna, hours later.....strange. The guide's accent was so thick that he had information on cards for us to read. He was very difficult to understand, which detracted from the tour. Our lunch was supposed to be included in the price, but we were handed a bill. We paid it, thinking it was futile to try to argue with the language barrier. The guide stopped at a wedding venue, and took us inside to meet the bride, groom and family as they were taking wedding photos! He pushed us on the stage to take pictures with the couple despite our protests that we did not think this was acceptable. He then took us to the dining area and helped himself to food being prepared in the kitchen, offering it to us as well! We were flabbergasted, but he insisted that as a certified tour guide, he had access to wherever he decided to take us! Towards the end of the tour, he received a call from someone and passed the phone to my husband. The person on the other end stated he was checking up and wanted to know if there were any issues. Of course, the guide was there next to us listening, so we were afraid to speak our minds! The driver drove like a maniac, I was seriously concerned for our safety. Also, the driver and guide spent the majority of the driving time conversing together in their native language. In all, I would give this tour no stars, if I could. We've used Viator MANY times in past travels, and this tour was severely disappointing!

The trip overall was good. Minus the couple of times the guide tried to take us to couple of herbal places where they try to sell you oils and herbs for high price. other than that we had a good time. the palace in Mysore is breathtaking! Overall it was a good trip!
