Early morning we will be taken for a boat ride on the Ganges. It is a mystical and spiritual experience as you watch people offering water to the Sun God and devotees taking a holy dip in the Ganges. We will visit all the famous Ghats of Varanasi via boat and return to the hotel for breakfast. At noon we will be taken for an excursion to Sarnath. Sarnath is the place where Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples. Visiting Ganga Sunrise in the morning was a great experience, as was visiting Ganga Aarti in the evening. The guide has very rich knowledge about the history of Varanasi city. However, due to the hot weather, no interest in visiting other places.

Varanasi is a very intense city, so you definetly need a tour guide. We were very happy with our guide. He took us to the most important parts of the city and everything was very well organized. His English was very good and he was also very knowledgeable.
