This Indianapolis food tour explores the commercial corridor bordering two of the earliest and most historic neighborhoods, Lockerbie and Chatham Arch.
Massachusetts Avenue is a prominent commercial boulevard crossing a grid of residential, commercial and industrial buildings that developed mainly throughout the 19th century. The area is also home to an expanding food scene, hosting nearly two dozen locally owned restaurants. The restaurants throughout the area are a combination of long standing local favorites dating back to the 1800's and new hot spots embracing the culinary traditions of the area.
The Massachusetts Avenue Food Tour will explore the advancement of Indianapolis cuisine over the past 150 years; from the traditions brought over by the city's original immigrants, to locally sourced progressive cuisine, all within a beautifully restored neighborhood.

We had Dani as our guide. She was amazing! She knew her history well and she was very fun. My husband and I were glad we got to see lots of parts of the city and restaurants because we don’t live in the area. The food was a great variety and I loved the differing styles of food and atmosphere each restaurant brought. Definitely recommend!

My daughter and I were having a Girls weekend in Indy and decided to do this tour. I had lived there many, many years ago but so much has changed! Learning some Indy history was very interesting and we went to places I would never have explored on my own. The food was fantastic at each place. No need to plan dinner because the sample sizes are very generous. I highly recommend! Looking forward to taking another one in a different part of town next time!
