Tour guide was excellent and crew very good. There were some hiccups with pick up because agreed to pick up 6.15 but arrived 5.50. We were obviously not ready. Another surprise was the entry tickets that were more expensive then previously told. Check before how much exactly you have to pay in addition. The rest of the day was great.

Frankly the trip was a bit disappointing. We left Labuan Bajo port about 630am and went to Padar Island. Climbed to an area where we could see a pink sand beach, a white sand beach and a black sand beach in one photograph. Very impressive. Quite a climb for those less fit. Then to a pink sand beach where we spent perhaps an hour snorkeling, etc. Then to Komodo Island. We got there about noon. There was a large Komodo dragon on the beach where we took pictures. Then we walked perhaps 2 km through the jungle and didn't see another one. The guide said that during the heat of the day, the Komodo dragons generally hibernate and it is difficult to see them! (Then what were we doing going there at noon? Wouldn't it been better to skip the snorkeling on the pink sand beach and arrive at Komodo Island at 9am? Would that have made a difference? Most of us were there to see Komodo dragons walking, moving about. The one on the beach looked like it had been drugged. It did move its head so it was alive.) We then had some more snorkeling, swimming with Manta rays etc.
