Join this private, Guided trek to explore the small tourist village of Bukit Lawang.     Our driver will pick you up at 7am from your hotel centrally located Medan. Start your journey to Bukit Lawang, after 4 hour scenic journey you will reach at Bukit Lawang. Driver doesn't Speak English but you should not worry , Once you reached at Bukit Lawang our professional tour guide receive you at National park.

    Then start your trekking tour with our experienced guide. Walk through the jungle looking for orangutans, discovering medicinal plants, and learning about their use. With a lot of up and down the hills to give you an enough exercise you are guaranteed to have a best day ever doing this activity with the team. At around noon there will be a short break for lunch in the jungle, with the rest of the trek continuing after. If you feel too tired to walk back, you can combine tube rafting floating down the river back to Bukit Lawang. After finish the tour our driver will drop off you at your hotel accommodation in centrally located Medang. We may also assist you for 1 night accommodation at Bukit Lawang. It will cost you extra which you can pay cash.

  • Please bring good walking shoes, insect repellent, waterproof/water resistant bag or liner, travel towel, water bottle, hat, waterproof jacket, a change of clothes , sun screen and a camera.

  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Sorry for the late reaction: we already had this tour in January 2025. We remember this day as a very successful tour with two young friendly guides who led us safely through the jungle. And we've been able to see the orangutans up close. As a keepsake, one of the guides also gave us a self-carved face of an orangutan. Also the lunch in the jungle was very well catered for. The last part of the tour was a fun route over the fast flowing river. Before we went up the river there was a rest moment with lots of tasty fruit.

It's a great experience , get to see the orangutans, I was very lucky. Rifan our guide was amazing , he explains a lot about the area and the orangutans, they provide a nice lunch and the best fruit table, thanks

Een prachtige wandeling en ontdekkingstocht in de jungle. We hadden 2 gidsen bij ons: Aldi en Randy Randy sprak heel goed Engels en Aldi was erg zorgzaam. Hij liep achter ons om ons in de gaten te houden en ook paste hij op de tassen wanneer wij wat dieper de jungle ingingen met Randy. We hebben alle aanstootten gezien in de jungle en ook 2 toekan’s zien vliegen. We hebben gezwommen in de rivier naast de jungle en het raften was ook erg gezellig Wat een avontuur!
