Grandma’s Home Cooking School is located in a small charming Saraphi District village. Start your morning by visiting local market; our instructors will introduce the basic ingredients used in Thai cuisine and how to select them. In our organic farm, you will learn more about Thai herbs and vegetables. Not only picking up fresh ingredients, but also experience how to harvest mushrooms, collect eggs and enjoy cooking in Thai-style pavilions with our small class size (Max. 8 persons) . . Our cooking course offers famous Thai dishes such as Tom Yam (Hot and Sour Soup), Kang Kew Waan (Green Curry), Pad Thai (Stir Fried Rice Noodles), etc. Select one refreshment and one dish from our fives categories; appetizer, stir fry, soup, curry, and dessert. Our instructors will demonstrate techniques step by step and then it’s your turn to cook your selected dishes.

What a wonderful day. After the hotel pickup, we started at a market where our guide, Joy, showed us some of the ingredients we would be cooking with. A short shuttle bus to their school site and we were welcomed again by Joy. The site was beautiful with organically grown fruit, rice, and herbs. Also we met Katie the chickens... who provide the eggs! Joy and her team guided us through the days cooking and the meals were lovely. The ingredients were all measured out so we were able to focus on the techniques. It was a very enjoyable day with amazing scenery and great food. I'm now off for a post food coma nap.

We are what we cooked - I ate far too much. Seven dishes in all ???? including appetizer, soup, pad Thai, Penang curry, papaya salad, sticky mango rice and Thai tea
