The venue was easy to find and looked splendid. The performance exceeded our expectations, it was very good indeed. The only slight quibble was the very noisy chairs!

We had been looking for something interesting to fill 1 of our 5 nights stay in Venice and booked tickets approx 1 month.
Start at 9pm and I'd read mixed reviews about what time to arrive. We ate close to venue and then made our way at 8pm to sit for a drink within sight of door. At 8pm there was about 40 people in a queue so we just joined it. We were let inside venue at approx 8.30, programme issued and left to choose own seat. We sat 4 rows from front in centre section. Great view of all performers. We're not huge classical music fans but are familiar with some of the more popular pieces. We were truly impressed by the standard and sound. Slight annoying element was that many in the audience started to applaud at times when they shouldn't, thinking the piece was finished. You could tell this frustrated the musicians. There was a 15 min interval and a couple of encores. I'd def recommend but make sure you get there nearer 8.30 than 9pm or else you might end up split up if in a group, on uncomfortable side seats or, even worse if you're self conscious,up on the stage at the side of the musicians!

We always fear shows every day in tourist towns, but this is exceptional. 4 high-level violinists, each of them playing solo pieces, an incredible cellist... and we are very very difficult people on the quality of performances.E plus the church is very beautiful and well suited in sonority to this type of music.
