We were on a cruise, and their excursions didn't include Angelokastro. Visiting the castle ruins were the highlight of our trip. Our only disappointment is that the driver didn't really do anything but take us to the defined points of interest. We were told we could customize our experience, but when we described what we were looking for, the driver still seemed to just follow the script. Lakones in particular was very underwhelming.

Usually I have good experiences. But today was an absolute disgusting experience. It’s a tourist hotspot, therefore very fast paced. I literally couldn’t get away quick enough. Parked behind someone on a quad (public road) I was on a scooter. He proceeded to tell me I couldn’t park there, as it was ‘dangerous’. Bearing in mind, his quad protruded more into the road than my little scooter did. Even though I was planning on only parking for less than a minute to take a couple of pictures across the road. It’s a PUBLIC road, you can park on a little slip way if you so choose. I would avoid this place, beautiful with nobody about, but a pure fast paced, tourist hotspot, with total rude locals. Ps. Greece is practically bankrupt. Without us tourists, pumping money in, they really would be a lost cause. Have some decorum, and respect for people. Pps. I have over 20 years experience with driving, I think I’m more than capable of knowing the rules of the road.

Our tour of Corfu was very informative and the views and beaches on the west side of the island were spectacular. Our guide, Katerina, was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating, giving us options and letting us choose what we wanted to do. Our driver, Simon, was very professional and courteous as well. Time and money well spent.
