Pick up from centrally located downtown Iquitos hotels, from Plaza 28 de Julio to the Main Square

  • Malecon Tarapaca, Iquitos, Peru
    We will pick you up from the hotel to go towards the port of Iquitos Boulevard. Here, you will board the boat and start a upriver trip having beautiful views to the city and the Malecon Tarapacá. We will navigate rivers that cross the city such as Itaya, Amazonas and Nanay. During the tour you will see how the colors of these 3 rivers do not mix, creating a visual show. If we are lucky, we are going to admire dolphins and pink bufeos during the journey. Spend an amazing time fishing piranhas in the Amazonas.

  • Padre Cocha, Padre Cocha, Peru
    We will arrive to the community of Kukama to know the local people and learn about their customs and see a show of traditional dances.

  • Calle Mexico s/n, Iquitos 16000, Peru
    We will continue along the shore of the community of Padre Cocha, and a little later, we will be at the Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm. This beautiful place has a variety of species of butterflies with different sizes. They are flying inside a special greenhouse. You will enjoy a traditional lunch. At the end, we will back to the port of Iquitos Boulevard and drop you off at the hotel.

Duración 15 a 20' espacio reducido, pocas mariposas que no se podían percibir bien, más variedad pudimos observar en habitad natural, calidad precio no coherente S/.20 el ingreso, practicamente nos sacaron a las volandas, dejamos de ir a la isla de los monos por ver el mariposario, experiencia agridulce ya que invertimos tiempo, transporte en bote y moto-taxi para llegar y salir del lugar. Puede mejorarse teniendo tanta naturaleza y clima para poder ofrecer mejor servicio al turista y obtener una experiencia agradable.

What a truly amazing experience. Not only were the encounters with rescued animals more up close than in a traditional zoo, but the volunteer who guided our tour was informative, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. He obviously cared about each and every animal, which made our encounters personal and touching. Our whole family - including 2 boys 12 and 14 - had one of the most memorable experiences.

El mariposario es magico, es una visita obligatoria si estas en Iquitos. Las comunidades con gente muy amable, las artesanias locales son bonitas, es un tour que me ha cautivado!
