A magical two day tour in Petra and Wadi Rum with pro guides. Pickup/drop off from Tel Aviv. PLEASE NOTE. As border operating hours are currently reduced, the itinerary of the tour will be slightly changed. Petra will be visited on Day 1 (2h30′ guided tour + 2h30′ free time) followed by an overnight in Wadi Rum, and Wadi Rum jeep safari on Day 2. The tour will end in Tel Aviv at approximately 20:00 on Day 2.

We did a two nite, 3 day tour of Jordan including Gerash, Petra and Wadi Rum. The logistics were great; pick-up at Hotel, transfer to border, border crossing on own, guide and driver met us at border. We tailored our tour to stay at our choice of hotels in Petra. Traveled to Wadi Rum on the third day, then crossed the southern border at Eilat. Would recommed adding a day to the ininerary and staying over in Eilat and traveling back to Tel Aviv on day four. Tour company had someone meet us at the Jordan border to escort us through the crossing back to Israel. Another rep met us one the Israel side and escorted us to our private car for the trip back to Tel Aviv. Another option was to fly bsck but the cost and travel time were about the same.

Here is a brief summary from my Petra/Wadi Rum tour Oct 29 & 30: 1) on the bus ride back from the Jordan border to Israel (late at night), the bus driver did not know how to de-fog the windows and he also didn't know where he was driving to and did not speak english at all! It was an extremely unsafe and dangerous situation that tourist israel put us in. Driver couldn't see out the window for the entire highly drive -- totally fogged up. 2) tour guide did not speak english well and it made for a terrible tour experience of Jordan. 3) Tourist Israel hands off the tour group at the Jordan border and as as result we spent hours unnecessarily waiting to cross the border. The Jordan team had 1 employee checking in all tourists -- it was a complete waste of everyone's time. And on top of that, once we crossed the border the tour guide took us to a terrible restaurant that also took HOURS and wasted all of our time!!
