Jerusalem and Bethlehem Christian Private Tour from Jerusalem

Levi is a fantastic tour guide! He´s been very patient, attentive and flexible with us. He´s super people smart and he understand his clients´ needs very fast. He has a vast and wide knowledge of history and religion and he´s passionate about naming facts, telling stories and making related jokes. No question is a stupid question to him and he´ll gladly explain in detail and to his best knowledge whatever understanding challenge or curiosity one might have about the history of the country, it´s politics, the different religions and cultures living there together or customs and traditions of the country. It was a very informative, very interesting tour and encounter, one can learn a lot and we would highly recommend doing whatever tour with Levi.

My wife and I booked this private tour and since we had already visited some sites in Jerusalem, we excluded some stops from the standard tour and added some others like Mt. Zion. Levi picked us up from our hotel on time. He was very friendly and knowledgeable so we learned a lot from him. He knew someone everywhere we visited so it helped to avoid long lines, even if it meant entering through the exits. We did feel a little rushed at times, but we did have a lot of requested stops and Levi was determined to get us back to our hotel at the designated time. A few of the highlights of the trip were touching the stone where Jesus was born (Nativity in Bethlehem) seeing the Golgotha, visiting where Mary fell into eternal rest, and touching the stone where Jesus’ head was laid after being crucified. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we highly recommend.

We went to all the holy sites in Bethlehem and Jerusalem and he even catered my tour a bit, as I had already been to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, so we went to a few other sites instead. You definitely want to do this tour instead of trying to do it on your own or in a large group. Levi knows everyone (he speaks 4-5 languages). Everyone in Palestine and Israel seems to be his friend...in short, he has connections. As a result, you will not wait in a line ANYWHERE with him! There were hundreds in line at the Nativity and he got me right in. He was able to answer every question I asked, history and otherwise and is incredibly friendly. Before leaving Palestine, he also took me to a shop The shop itself is run by an Arab Palestinian Christian family (take a moment to throw out all your stereotypes). The family, hires Palestinians who are disabled, no matter their religion, to do woodwork with olive wood. I sat in the shop and spoke with the men who were doing the woodwork and watched them work. They gave me coffee, baklava, and we shared about one another and laughed. Their pieces of work were absolutely beautiful. You are going to get much more than a tour with Levi. You will get an inside look at the culture and the incredible Israelis and Palestinians who are so misportrayed in the media. If I ever come back to Israel, I will definitely book another tour with Levi!
