Tour is starting visiting to Hagia Sophia Museum which is is the former Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal cathedral, later an Ottoman imperial mosque and now a museum in Istanbul, Turkey. Built in AD 537 before the Middle Ages, it was famous in particular for its massive dome. It was the world's largest building and an engineering marvel of its time. It is considered the epitome of Byzantine architecture and is said to have "changed the history of architecture". Hagia Sophia Museum considered one of the Eight Wonders of the World.     Our next stop will be The Blue Mosque, It remains a functioning mosque, while also attracting large numbers of tourist visitors. It was constructed between 1609 and 1616 during the rule of Ahmed I. Its Külliye contains Ahmed's tomb, a madrasah and a hospice. Hand-painted blue tiles adorn the mosque’s interior walls and at night the mosque is bathed in blue as lights frame the mosque’s five main domes, six minarets and eight secondary domes.It sits next to the Hagia Sophia, another popular tourist site. Note: On Friday morning, The Blue Mosque is visioned only from outside because of Friday Prayer.

    The German Fountain is a gazebo styled fountain in the northern end of old hippodrome (Sultanahmet Square), Istanbul, Turkey and across from the Mausoleum of Sultan Ahmed I. It was constructed to commemorate the second anniversary of German Emperor Wilhelm II's visit to Istanbul in 1898. It was built in Germany, then transported piece by piece and assembled in its current site in 1900. The neo-Byzantine style fountain's octagonal dome has eight marble columns, and dome's interior is covered with golden mosaics.

    After the Spice Bazaar, we will go to Kabatas for Bosporus tour on our Boat. Not only does the Bosporus connect the Black Sea and the Mediterranean, it also separates the continents of Asia and Europe from one another. We cruise the Bosphorus, and from the deck of our cruise boat, take in the sights and sounds of this legendary waterway, lined with historic villages, grandiose waterfront mansions, imposing fortresses, like Anadolu Hisari, and the Baroque palaces of the late Ottoman sultans. Drop off to the Hotels at the end of the tour.

We booked this tour last night very late. It was based on Google search. Amazingly such late in night we got an excellent support from management, arranged so quickly, very genuine price, bus was too comfortable. Very timely picked up from hotel, too good driver..Both the guides Ali and May an excellent knowledge, very supportive. Lunch offered was too good as well. 5 star in all areas, highly recommended.

The tour was so good I saw everything I planned in one day. We got into the Hagia Sofia in the first group and the tour guide explained many thing about the history and people. We then saw a fashion show and had lunch nearby. In the afternoon we visited the spice market and had a water tour before going back to the hotel. Istanbul is a fantastic city and you guides brought it to life.

Godt planlagt. Men mye gåing. Det sto det ikke noe om i turbeskrivelsen. 2 forskjellige guider som var godt oppdatert. Men savnet smalltalk om Istanbul etc. 1. turen ble vi tatt med til et kjøpesenter og plassert der for en moteoppvisning??? Hva er dette? Det lite vi veldig dårlig. Vi kan finne de butikker vil vil selv og dette var ikke opplyst om i beskrivelsen av turen. Da hadde vi nok ikke tatt den. 2. delen startet på kryddermarkedet. Der ble vi lovet inn i en butikk som virket som de var gode venner av guiden. Han kritiserte de andre butikkene og fikk oss til og handel til urimelige priser ( ikke jeg, men de andre) det burde være frivillig hvor vi skulle handle. Den blå moskeen var under oppussing og vi fikk ikke noe inntrykk. Det skulle også vært tatt med i turbeskrivelsen Lunsjen skulle være på Olive. Det var den ikke. Hvorfor?
