9 Days Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus and Pamukkale Tour

These 9 days in Turkey were one of the best days of our life. Thanks to Pupa Travel. Tour Planning : The tour was planned efficiently by Edip based on our requirements. A detailed itinerary was sent which included the dates, domestic flight details, hotel details, places to visit and inclusions and exclusions. All queries and changes were responded to / handled without delays and no follow-ups were required. Tour Execution: Flawlessly executed. We always had details in advance on who is going to pick us up at the international and domestic airport and the details of the tour guides for the specific location. The tour guides were never late. They were knowledgeable on the history of the place. As said, Turkey is the cradle of civilization and hence every place of interest has significant history associated with it and hence the knowledge of the tour guide becomes important. The vans and busses were well maintained with experienced drivers. Alican, our tour guide in Cappadocia, deserves a special shout out. In the first few minutes of meeting him, we knew that our Cappadocia experience would be great. He loves his job, he likes Cappadocia and he loves chatting with people. He had an interesting way of communicating the history behind a place, which kept our curiosity high as well at all times about the place and what we would be seeing next. During travels between places, he ensured that he sat with us rather than with the driver and keeping us busy with past and current facts about Turkey or in some cases talking about his own personal life. Overall a great experience with Pupa Travel. Highly recommended.

Ours was a private version of this tour all arranged by Mustafa and was a bit quicker due to our own time limitations. The guides throughout were amazing and the sights unbelievable. We would definitely recommend Mustafa to friends and family for an amazing vacation. I would also recommend adding a few days of resort time on the coast. We missed out on that, again due to time constraints, but would welcome it if things were different.

We did a private tour in October 2021 arranged by Edip at Pupa Travel adapting their existing tours to our interests. All guides/drivers were vaccinated and masked. In Istanbul, we explored by foot with the wonderful and knowledgeable guide Hakim and fell in love with the city. In the Cappedocia region, we went in a private van with Guide Mustafa and driver Mehmet and enjoyed the beautiful region. The Cave hotel was marvelous and we loved the stops around the area including some Roman ruins that a local farmer found. The balloon ride through Voyager was superb (and I have a fear of heights!). In Ephesus, Afrodisias, Hieropolis and Pamukkale, we were with the wonderful Burcu and driver M__. We loved our time with them and by the end they felt like old friends. Afrodisias was an amazing place and hope more people stop to experience it. The lunches and stops were excellent and very traditional food. Meals were huge and filling. Everything--meetups, transportation, plane tickets, hotels--were smooth and effortless. Our hotels (with one exception) were nicer than how we usually travel and the inclusive breakfasts were also amazing. Everything was just as promised and then some. We had some hesitancy about doing an organized tour because we are used to traveling independently. However, this provided us with the unexpected opportunity to really get to talk to and get to know more about Turkey from people who live there. Don't think twice. Book with Pupa. We will be back.
