Discover the glories of Ottoman-era architecture on this 10-hour small-group guided tour to the city of Edirne, once known as Hadrianopolis. Besides the Selimiye Mosque, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you'll visit the Old Mosque (Eski Camii), the Uc Serefeli Mosque, the Sultan Beyazit II Mosque Complex, and the Grand Bazaar. You'll also see the 12th-century Tower Gate and 19th-century New Bridge. Tour includes entrance fees and lunch. Transportation by minivan with a/c.     Beyazid Healt Museum is the largest in Edirne, the complex had a mosque and an hospital which was famous for the skill of its surgeons. In the octogonal, domed timarhane the insane were treated by musical therapy.

    Uç Serefeli Camii, the name of the mosque derived from the three balconies on the southeast minaret. Each balcony is reached by a separate stairway. The decorative tile designs on the minarets are all different. The minarets were the most important development in the structure of the mosque in the fifteenth century.

If you like Architecture, you respect Mimar Sinan, Edirne is a place to not miss. A wonderful place to visit despite the traffic going from/to Istanbul. Once you reach Edirne, be ready for very special delicious meal of Liver from Ciğerci Niyazi Usta. Thanks a lot for Turista Travel Agency and many special thanks and appreciation for our tour guide Mrs. Toba and her driver Adel and his assistant Mustafa.
