    Pick up from the hotel and join the group. We begin our tour with a visit to Hagia Sophia Museum, which is considered one of the Eight Wonders of the World, occupies a unique place in the history of architectures one of the rare works of this size and age that still survives.

    Our next visit will be The Blue Mosque, which takes its name from the world famous exquisite blue Iznik tiles decorating its interior. Also it is the only imperial mosque in the world that was originally built with six minarets. Note: Blue Mosque is reserved for Prayer on Fridays. On Fridays, we visit the mosque from the exterior.

    After the lunch, we will visit the Egyptian Spice Bazaar, second largest covered bazaar in Istanbul after Grand Bazaar. It is well-known for its herbalists; the Egyptian Bazaar offers traditional natural medicines, spices, flower seeds, roots and shells of rare plants along with dried nuts and fruits, deli products and various Turkish Delights.

    After the Spice Bazaar we will drive along the shore of Golden Horn which is an inlet of the Bosphorus and it is the natural harbor of Old Istanbul.

    Then we will embark our boat for an unforgettable Cruise on the Bosphorus, the strait runs through the unique Istanbul that stands up on two different continents between Asia and Europe. During the cruise, we will have a chance to view the peerless sights ornamenting the Asian and European shores such as 19th century wooden mansions, Rumeli Fortress built only in 3 months by Mehmet the Conquerer, Anatolian Fortress, fanciful Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi palaces, and hunting lodges.

The tour was excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and learning experience. The tour guide Ali was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Ali took the time to make sure everyone enjoyed the tour and learned about the history of the city and its people. Lunch was delicious and the service at the restaurant outstanding. The included cruise on the Bosphorus ended the tour with a relaxing peaceful time getting to know the other visitors and enjoying a beautiful afternoon. It’s a whole day tour which went so quickly you never felt overwhelmed or bored. Ali made sure everyone left the tour knowing more about Istanbul’s history and glad they had come.

The tour was not up to our expectations. It focused more on the commercial part of Istanbul city centre including Bazaars rather than the historical heritage. The so called "fashion show" was a surprise to us. It was kind of of designed to trap tourists inside a big shop and applying pressure for them to purchase products. We felt herded like cattle inside the shop with sales persons chasing after us to convince us to buy their products. This was not even the Grand bazaar which the tour guide kindly warned us about. In the Egyptian Spice Market, which we had 30 minutes for, we were brought directly to a specific shop where we were probably expected and pressed to buy items at the most expensive prices. We didn't have a choice during the 30 minutes to freely visit the Spice market nor check other stores inside.

Istanbul is a very nice city and worth to see. If you have only little time to explore Istanbul is this the tour you have to book. The visit of the Hagia Sophia was very impressive and the long queuing time was it worth. The guide Shakir was fantastic and could tell you everything about the old town. For the boat trip was it a pity, that it was raining. But if you are in Istanbul a boat trip on the Bosporus is a must.
