Sal was a phenomenal guide. He was very knowledgeable, and insightful. Sal made the history come alive and was able to help me to better understand the complex forces that make Instanbul such a fascinating place. My private tour included a visit to some of the gems in the Old Town including the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Sal was able to arrange to avoid waiting in endless lines like most of the tourists, so we were able to see so much in just one day. We also visited the Grand Bazaar and Spice Market and had a delicious lunch in a rooftop restaurant overlooking the Bosphorus. Since his English was great, I was able to ask him so many questions, not only about history, but also about current day life in Turkey. Sal was open and candid in his responses and left me with a fantastic first impression of Istanbul, and a huge desire to come back again soon with more time to explore. I highly recommend Sal if you are planning a trip to Istanbul!

Sal has an extensive knowledge of history of Istanbul,he knows the city very well , main sites and attractions, also the market and restaurants.
