Great history to be seen here. You do have to spend the time to walk through most doorways, etc, as you never know where you might come across an old wall painting, etc. Uneven ground and hilly so be prepared for lots of walking. The day we visited was a public holiday so there were long iines of people. Not sure what it is like on a normal day.

Na Pompei de moeite waard, minder groot maar wel meer bewaard gebleven. Na een rondleiding in Pompei weet je waar je naar kijkt. Deze stad was welvarend. Er is een klein museumpje met gevonden voorwerpen zoals gebruiksvoorwerpen en sieraden. Verbazingwekkend is dat een aantal gebruiksvoorwerpen nog steeds bestaan anno 2023!

This place is amazing! Our ticket included the audioguide which was a good way to find out about the ruins. We spend about 2.5 hours investigation the ruins. Since my last visit they've removed the walkways in front of the boat sheds which was a little disappointing. Covid requirements meant we had to queue to enter a few of the houses but it wasn't a long wait. These ruins are so much better preserved than Pompeii. Go!
