    A 1-day flash visit to discover the Brazilian Grand Canyon - Chapada Diamantina National park, an exclusive travel-package from @IvanBahiaGuide (the only travel guide offering this tour :-) Pickup in Salvador da Bahia (at your hotel/pousada/appartment at 6am) for a 5,5 hour drive to one of the most amazing regions in Brazil, Chapada Diamantina ('layers of diamonds'). We will drive to the portal of the National Park, walk the charming colonial village of Lençois, where we ascend to the 'Serrano de Lençois' (where you could swim in a natural waterfall/pool) . After lunch in Lençois we take of to the Poço do Diabo ('Devil's Pit) along the Mucugezinho river OR drive to the Mirante do Morro do Camélo. We had a great time! Ivan knew all the locals routes and we were able to experience a really cool trail that wasn’t crowded at all. Lencois is a beautiful town and we wish we had more time! Chapada Diamantina is breathtaking. The trip was so worth it. It’s a lot of driving in one day and now that we know there is so much to see over there, we would go back and do the 2 day trip Ivan offers. If you have time, I recommend the 2 day trip so you get to see more. If you’re short on time, this one day express will be perfect for you.

Intensive and wonderful 1 day trip ! Roundtrip is a bit hard but worth trying and save your time for the other activities of your stay in Salvador.

Après avoir parcourru les avis sur pas mal de forums nous avons sélectionné Ivan Bahia parce que d'abord il est francophone et aussi parce que pour ce tour il n'y a que des critiques positives. Nous confirmons les critiques avec une mention excellente. Comme nous sommes résté que quelques jours à Bahia (et on voulait voir tellement de choses) nous avons trouvé cette excursion d'une journée d'Ivan (qui apparament est le seul à la faire) qui propose de découvrir ce parc national Chapada Diamantina en 1 jour. Bien, il faut savoir qu'il s'agit d'une journée très longue (Ivan est venu nous chercher à notre hôtel le matin à 5h et on était de retour à Salvador seulement à 21h et quelques) mais alors les paysages qu'on à eu dans ce canyon du Brésil, le petit village de Lençois qu'on à découvert et la marche dans les bois envirronant (chutes d'eaux et ce lieu bizarre de salon de sable) nous on fait conclure que vraiement cela valait le absolument détour et on a regretté de ne pas avoir pris quelques jours de plus dans cette région de ce parc national. Une journée longue mais 100% satisfaisante à faire avec Ivan
