In 1526, after the Lodi’s were defeated in the Battle of Panipat, the victor Emperor Babur took over the fort. After losing the fort briefly to the Suri rulers, it was eventually reclaimed by Akbar, who made Agra his capital.

I had a terrific day checking out the sites on the outskirts of Jaipur. The sites were all amazing: Amber Fort, a cool stepwell, a block printing factory (cooler than I thought!), the royal cenotaphs and the monkey temple. My driver, Soni, was awesome! He gave a lot of great information about the sites, advice and warnings when needed. His driving skills, in particular, were impressive. Great English as well! Thanks for a great day, and looking forward to the trip to see (hopefully) the tigers tomorrow.

We had three days in Jaipur and thanks to Wahsim we were able to really explore the wonder of this city. He showed us off the beaten track sites aswell as a being a patient and informative driver. Ali est comme mon fils adoptif. J’ai fais une ride en moto Royal Enfield à l’extérieur de Jaipur environ 25km ( oui, j’avais un casque ) On a été dans un super endroit, la reconstitution d’un ancien village, il y avait plein d’activité..... des danseuses superbes) , des magiciens, des lutteurs, des éléphants, chameaux, chevaux, des jeux d’adresse, des marionnettistes ...... un super restaurant dont il fallait manger à terre... pis j’avais mal au dos à cause de mon escalade d’éléphant de l’après-midi. Toute une aventure ! Une autre journée, j'ai été à Galta Ji temple, il y a les singes de la montagne sacrée, super endroit. Je vous recommande fortement Jaipur Private Cab.
