This is a full day trip to Lake Toya and Noboribetsu Hell Valley from Sapporo. First, we'll drive to Lake Toya, 3rd largest caldera lake in Japan. The guide drive through the lakeside to show you photogenic points. At Mt.Usu, take a cable to explore the crater. Breathtaking, gorgeous land scape is awaiting for you. After having a lunch at the local restaurant, we will drive 1 hour and sightsee Noboribetsu Hell Valley. It's a volcanic caldera created by the eruption of Mt. Hiyoriyama, and is the largest hot spring source in Noboribetsu Onsen. If you are interested in the optional tours such as boat ride, fruits picking, and hiking, please ask us!

    Mount Usu is a volcano which has erupted four times in the past 100 years. Its most recent eruption occurred in the year 2000. The Usuzan Ropeway brings you close to the volcano's summit. Breathtaking scenery from observation platform, which include Mt. Yotei, Lake Toya, Oshima peninsula, and Pacific ocean.

    Lake Toya is a caldera lake that was created by a major volcanic eruption that took place tens of thousands of years ago. It has a perimeter of about 36.5km, and in the center lie four islands: Oshima, Kannon-shima, Benten-jima, and Manjuu-jima.

    Noboribetsu Hell Valley is located in central Hokkaido, is one of Japan's leading Onsen resorts with the source of its springs found in Noboribetsu Jigokudani. A promenade in Hell Valley makes it possible to walk safely through this mysterious volcanic area. Also, will walk to Oyunuma and natural footbath.

Our day in Hokkaido was fantastic! The views of Shikotsu & Toya National Parks were amazing! Our guide Sumi was very knowledgeable, experienced, professional and considerate. She was one of the best tour guides I have ever seen, representing Japan’s high-quality touring service. Hokkaido is a wonderful place to visit with many stunning views from beautiful lakes, valleys and mountains. I highly recommend this tour!

Our guide, Sumi, was wonderful. She knows a lot about the natural area, which was great for us since we enjoyed seeing birds and exploring the Moss Canyon. We packed a lot into the day, and even enjoyed a beautiful view of Mount Yotei in the sunset on the way back to Sapporo.
