    A World Heritage site. This is the symbol of the Nara Period and one of the world's largest wooden structures. Its huge main hall and bronze Great Buddha are impressive to behold.

    This Nara Period shrine is designated as a World Heritage Site. The deer of Nara Park are thought to be the shrine messengers.

  • The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.
  • Participants will walk from the parking lot to Todai-ji Temple (about 15 min one-way).
  • Please inform us at the time of booking if any person in your group is using crutches or a wheelchair, or has a chronic illness that makes it difficult to walk for long distances.
  • Until Dec. 2024, the tour will visit Kasuga Taisha Shrine but will not enter areas requiring admission. From Jan. 2025, the tour will also enter the Main Sanctuary special visit area. However, in case the special visit area cannot be entered due to events or operational circumstances, the Kasuga Taisha Museum or Manyo Botanical Garden will be visited instead.
  • Refunds will not be issued in case the tour visits aforementioned alternative destinations.
  • Seats may not be designated.
  • Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but will not be provided with bus seats. If bus seats are required, please make a booking under the child rate.
  • Parental permission in writing is necessary for all tour participants under the age of eighteen. Any participant under the age of fifteen or not yet enrolled in middle school must be joined by a parent or guardian on the tour.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Half day tour well spent in Nara. Feeding the deers is the main objective. With the comfort of coach we don't have to waste time travelling.

We picked the Deer Park to interact with the deer. We saw many deer but the tour guide would not allow us to take pictures or interact with the deer. She kept telling us she would let us do it later, that never came. Was truly disappointed, would have preferred for the tour guide to allow time on our own and meet at a location. Instead, we needed to go to the Todai-ji Temple with the entire group and every section she did a head count that wasted a lot of time and she did at least four head counts everytime. Horrible experience.
