Our first stop will Toshugu shrine complex comprises of buddhist and Shinto shrines which is UNESCO world heritage site. Next stop will be Shinkyo Bridge also known as red bridge Which rank as third Finest bridge in Japan. The next destination chuzenji lake is indeed interesting but the zig-zag roads and fascinating natural scenery on the way are much more beautiful, interesting and enjoyable.     This bridge was opened in 17th century and was leads to the main entrance of the Rinno-ji temples and shrines. It is made of timber wood and give passage over the Daiya river.

    Kegon Falls is located at Lake Chūzenji in Nikkō National Park with the height of 97 meter making an absolute stunning view from the elevated area. The falls were formed when the Daiya River was rerouted by lava flows. It’s one of the three highest and beautiful waterfall of Japan. In 1927, the Kegon Falls was recognized as one of the "Eight Views" which best showed Japan and its culture in the Shōwa period.

Nikko was a lovely part of Japan, so much history and natural beauty! Definitely worth seeing. Our driver, Ali, was fabulous, a huge effort on his part. I wouldn’t recommend traveling from Yokohama, it was a bit too far for a day trip. Traveling from Tokyo would have been better.

My guide is Kiyono, she is a history lover and i love her way of telling us all the history of peaceful Nikko. I am a vegetarian and she find a nice vegetarian shop for us to dine in. She is very friendly and helpful. My tour is definitely a memorable one with her around...
