Kamakura is a beautiful seaside city with many historical sites and takes just an hour by local train from Tokyo. In this tour, you'll visit 4 popular temples and a shrine: Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine, and Hokokuji temple which has a beautiful bamboo grove in the ground. Kotokuin temple of the great buddha and Hasedera temple. The temple grounds are home to a bamboo grove of about 2,000 Moso bamboo trees, which has become a tourist attraction and is known as the Bamboo Temple. Kamakura is also known for its delicious food. Our private tour guide was wonderful, so knowledgeable , so pleasant and delightful. This was the best tour of our trip. Best way to immerse in a culture with a private guide and ride the subways and buses with the local population. Loved everything about it.
