In order to closely feel the local atmosphere of Kyoto, this tour will use public transportation so that you can experience the everyday life of Kyoto locals, unlike other tour groups hastily hopping from one location to another on chartered buses. During the 7-hour tour, your guide will show you around the city covering four major must-see locations. There are two different courses: one northwest-bound and the other southeast-bound. If you participate in both tours, you can efficiently cover eight locations at a relaxing pace. For both courses, you can chose from private option, non-private option and non-private option with apprentice guide (reduced rate). Even if you chose non-private option, we guarantee that the total number of guests will be less than 9 people.

We had a wonderful tour featuring beautiful and important Kyoto sights. Our guide, Mai, was delightful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. She shared the history and many fun facts along the way. I wasn't sure if a day tour would be too long, but it flew by. We loved every moment from the sake museum tour and tasting to the Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine to our custom stop at the Donguri Kyowakoku (Ghibli Store). We would highly recommend this tour.

We had the best day with Choko! She was the most amazing historian, guide, translator, and even photographer! Left with a much deeper understanding and appreciation of Kyoto and some lovely memories with a new friend! Arigato, Choko Sensei!

This is a must for all new comer to Kyoto, the guide we had , her name is Mie, was fantastic, very knowledgeable and helpful. I give 4 stars instead of 5 only because the tour is a bit pricey
