    Our English speaking driver will take you directly to the UNESCO village of Shirakawago, You will spend 2 and half hours here. Crossing the spectacular pedestrian bridge across the Sho river, your senses will be filled with the sounds and smells of authentic rural life. This fairy-tale village is bound to inspire you as one of Japans most picturesque sites.

  • Hida Furukawa Old Town, Hida, Gifu Prefecture, Japan
    Your group will then be whisked off to the canal lined streets of Hida-Furukawa. Your group will spend 1 hours here, exploring the town and taking in lunch. This once significant outpost during the Edo period is rich in architectural history. Famous for its timber craftsmanship and rowdy festivals this village is a rare gem among the towns and villages of this mountainous region.

  • Takayama, Takayama, Gifu Prefecture, Japan
    Next stop is Takayama, you will spend 2 hours here exploring this beautifully preserved old town, famous in Japan for carpentry and Sake brewing. Takayama prospered during the Edo period and this is evident in its layout, beautiful buildings and cultural preservation.

This tour was well worth the money. Our guide Yuta was 5 minutes early and we got going right away. The car was clean and comfortable. Yuta was friendly, knowledgeable and fun to chat with. We swapped stories about living in Japan vs America on the drive! The stops were cool and not realistic to reach via transit/on your own. We'd been walking 10 miles/ day and taking transit so having the luxury of a tour was so nice. We had a delicious Hida beef meal at a restaurant in Takayama that Yuta booked us a reservation at. 10/10 for this tour and Yuta! PS - please note gratuity is not accepted or welcome on this tour or anywhere in Japan.

Yuta provided a wonderful tour for our family. He was entertaining and provided a great education on each of the stops. He customized his presentation to our interests. We enjoyed our tour immensely!

We really enjoyed our day. Our favorite was the city of Shirakawago. We loved the structures and the whole feel of the town. Our stop to the other two cities was short. We loved the Sake tasting in the Tacayama.
