Our guide was awesome. He showed us foods we would have skipped, and it was delicious. And explained everything in-between. Great tour!

Eiji-San did a great job showing us around Nishiki market, and we were able to try so many different foods. At the end he even showed us how to pray at the shrine properly!

The tour is great however I would recommend going as a bigger group as your ordering set meals not so much “tastings”. I booked for 2 people which cost me $367.88. I needed to change the booking to 1 person and couldn’t do this so contacted my guide who said he’d give me cash on the day. I checked to see how much it was to book for 1 person and it’s $294.49. I received a refund of $28.11 so was shorted $45.28. I contacted your locals and they said they couldn’t do anything as it was up to the guide. I was better off cancelling the tour and then rebooking. It is quite expensive but I had a good time however you could do this tour on your own (go to 10 stalls and purchase something) and probably save yourself a lot of money
