This a multicultural place and the heart of the famous people spot, starting by the revolutionaries(XVII century), follow by the intellectuals, after, the more iconic famous people like Picasso, La Croix, Des Cartes, De Beauvoir…Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce, Gestrude Stein… and a lot of others… After this cultural and historic tour, we will go in the more authentic French bar for a wine and cheese and have a moment amid the French atmosphere. Why was there a tour? The guide didn’t speak English well She forgot to reserve a spot at her favorite jazz bar.

Helene was fabulous and very passionate about sharing her knowledge of the St Germain du Pres area. So much history in this area, hard to cover in a couple of hours. Interesting that Paris is over 2,000 years old! We saw the oldest church, oldest restaurant, authentic cobblestone streets and places we’d never have found on our own, thanks to Helene. We went to a very old, small, authentic bar and had delicious Kir and wine. Only reason for 4 stars is that it was a bit too much walking for me.
