Travel by jeep to the Troodos mountains, with the opportunity to see the beauty of the wild nature of Cyprus and visit the main shrine of the island-the monastery of Kykkos. On the way to Troodos, we will visit the second largest dam in Cyprus - Asprokremos, and also, one of the four bridges of the Venetian era - Chelefos. We will taste the wines, and visit beautiful waterfall Chantara and on the way back, we will make a stop for bathing at the "stone of Aphrodite" where, according to legend, the goddess of love and beauty was born and went ashore.

    The Hantara waterfall derived its name from the word "anatra" which means "water noise". The water of the waterfall falls violently from a height of eight meters rolling over the gavro, which is one of the main rocks of the area and forming at its base a small pond. Situated in the middle of the countryside, it is surrounded by trees, plane trees, ivy, pine trees, golden oaks, sumac, strawberry trees, cistus, sage and lavender, giving guests wonderful scents.

Really interesting with a well informed driver. Disappointed with the village of Omodos which seems to have been built for tourists!! Highlight - swimming by the Aphrodite's Rock!

Friendly guide with good commentary along the way. He was an excellent driver off road on the steep & treacherous mountain tracks! We stopped at the dam, the Venetian bridge, the waterfall, the monastery and the wine village with an hour’s stop for lunch at the mountain hotel restaurant. We could have done with more time in the wine village and the monastery as 30 minutes felt rushed. But overall a fantastic day out, highly recommend.

We loved it! There was so much to see and it was so much easier than hiring a car! Give it a go, totally recommended.
