We booked the full tour, including the Andalucía Horse option. The main reason we booked this tour was to visit the home of the Andalucía horses in Jerez. We were disappointed to receive a message from this tour operator less that 24 hours before the tour start time, advising that the Horse Element of this tour had been cancelled! Unfortunately, this did not provide us with enough time to reassess our options, or look for an alternative tour operator to see the horses in Jerez - Very annoying and extremely disappointing! Instead we stuck with the Jerez and Cadiz elements of this tour, frankly the meeting point was chaotic, upwards of 50 people meeting outside a tourist office for different tours, in a very narrow street, with busy traffic, amazed there are no serious accidents, we then met our guide for the day, who finally gathered our group (around 30 people) together, he explained that the coach was on its way, would be with us in a few minutes, 15 minutes later were were asked to walk to a nearby square, where the coach would be waiting, it wasn't, after 30 minutes the coach arrived and were on our way. The sherry-Wine tour and tasting was very interesting and enjoyable, as was the walk through Jerez. We then moved onto Cadiz, arriving at 2pm, where we were left to disperse and find somewhere to have lunch, we had a lovely lunch in a nice restaurant. The group gathered together again at 3:20pm, when the walking tour resumed, taking in the key features of the city, including the Roman Amphitheatre. At 5 pm the group arrived at the beach area, being told that we could disperse for a walk on the beach, paddle, of find a local bar, restaurant for drinks until 6pm, when the coach would collect us and return to Seville, around 8pm. All in all....we were very disappointed with this tour operator, large mixed nationality group, requiring the guide to translate everything twice, in English and Spanish, not the experience we were hoping for, not sure we sore the best of Cadiz in the short time we were there, and no idea why an hour was allocated for a beach visit, during a city tour!
Dris was an excellent guide, funny and engaging while speaking English, French, and Spanish to our small group. Very interesting sherry tour in a beautiful winery, fun horse show, and great food at the street market in Cadiz. I highly recommend the calamari and chicharones! (First not the Spanish word, and the second is no doubt spelled wrong, bit try them anyway!)
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Manuel, our guide, was knowledgeable and his commentary included aspects of agriculture and history around Seville, Jerez and Cadiz. The sherry tasting was informative and tasty, and the tour of Cadiz included an excavated Roam theatre. The horse show was a highlight for me and such a privilege to see the skill of the equestrians and horses up close. It was a an enriching experience.
