Sit back and relax on 1.5 hour trip from Papagayo, Tamarindo, and Flamingo Beach; the tour will travel through authentic villages and plantations of sugar cane , melon, cashew, and watermelon until reaching the picturesque village of Bolsón . Your adventure includes a local expert as your guide. You will take a 2-hour boat safari on the Tempisque River, the longest river in Guanacaste. Be sure to have your camera ready to capture the wildlife, such as three types of monkeys (howler, spider, and capuchin), American crocodiles ,fish, and migratory birds. After the boat safari, a typical Costa Rican lunch awaits you, followed by a demonstration of how the Chorotega native people manually crafted pottery. Pick-up and drop-off in Tamarindo, Flamingo, and the Papagayo area.

We do not offer pick-up in the following areas: Avellanas, Playa Negra, Junquillal, Marbella, and Nosara.

Carlos’ education makes him ideal for this excellent experience. Air conditioned car, then boat and a local restaurant make this a fantastic tour, well worth every penny!

We were so impressed with our tour guide Wilton we booked a second expedition with him. He delivered again! We saw multiple heron species and other birds, crocodiles, and monkeys! Our captain Miguel and Wilton both were excellent wildlife spotters and between the two of them we had numerous wildlife sightings. We stopped for lunch with Helene and Inez, who made us the famous drip coffee. While there, Willy, a local artisan showed us the indigenous method for making and glazing pottery that has been passed down for 7 generations. Kenneth was our driver and made the road trip more enjoyable, it was a wonderful group of people all around. Hands down, my favorite day of our vacation!
