    The Vitória neighbourhood was one the jewish quarters we had in Porto. Established in 1386 by King João I it was one of the biggest jewish communities in the city.

    The historical documents show that the Olival neighbourhood had a cemetery nearby. Accordingly to those documents the Virtudes Garden was in a far away era, the Jewish Cemetery

An excellent tour by Ricardo, including a wealth of information regarding Jewish history and contributions to Portugal, especially in Porto. He was great in answering questions.

Ricardo was a truly amazing guide. I have never met anyone so steeped in the history and information of their tour before. Thoughtful, interesting, warm, and fun to learn this history with. Would recommend him in a heartbeat!!!

Ricardo was beyond our favorite guide we had through our entire stay in Porto! His knowledge and passion for the Jewish history in Portugal is beyond impressive. We ended up learning so much from him and truly made our last day special. Could not recommend more 15/10.
