This well-stocked Malaria Free park has a dramatic landscape that supports a wide variety of plants, animals and birds.  Pilanesberg National Park  is home  to the big 5 ( Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Rhinos, and buffalos). You will be offered 3 hours Open Vehicle Safari (morning),  and 2 hours close vehicle safari (afternoon)

    You will be picked up from Johannesburg or Pretoria by a professional guide/driver at 6 am. Your ride to Pilanesberg will be 2.5 hours.  Upon arrival you will be transferred to an Open Safari Vehicle for your first game drive. Duration of this thrilling drive will be 3 to 3.5 hours with stops to stretch legs and use rest rooms. Your guide will use their knowledge to navigate through the park, taking different roads, trails and visiting various water holes to maximize your chance of seeing illusive animals such as leopards, cheetahs, lions and hyenas. You will have an hour lunch break to enjoy a delicious lunch at the parks restaurant overlooking a busy water hole and this will be followed by an additional 2 hours safari game drive on a closed vehicle. You will exit the park around 3 pm.

    The drivers were very nice and the guide at the park was very informative. The roads in the park are in horrible condition and it slowed us down because we had to go so slowly to not bust a tire. There were hardly any animals out in the morning and in the early afternoon. It was pretty disappointing.

    We were treated to excellent guides for whom it was no trouble trying to take time to see the wildlife you wanted. The open top safari was a great thrill. Saw wide range, lions, hyena, rhino, warthogs as well as numerous elephants, zebra, buffalo, giraffes and antelopes.

    I was in South Africa for a business trip on a tight schedule with only one day to see around, I found Balanta Imagine on Trip advisor and you can see only good reviews on their profile(Now I know why). Lerato is a very nice friendly lady, showed up at my hotel on time, she's knowledgeable about Pilanesburg routes and best viewing spots. She is willing to go out of her way and take every extra step to ensure you get the best experience. Balanta are organised, flexible,pay attention to details, professional and were able to provide a reasonable quote for a private trip. I am happy with my experience and would definitely recommend them to anyone and would go with them again myself if I get the chance.
