Soweto, the trendiest township in South Africa, is truly a lifechanging experience. From the 1950s Soweto became an epicentre of political campaigns aimed at overthrowing the apartheid state, and in 1955 it was the location where 3 000 people came together to adopt the Freedom Charter - which is what the South African Constitution is now based. Highly recommend this tour. It is very informative and provides a different perspective. We added the walking tour and enjoyed it tremendously. Our guide Mpho-p was "funtastic" and showed us areas we would not have seen otherwise.

Super tour, very informative we had plenty of time to visit attractions and even though the weather was poor we all had a great time. Our tour guide was brilliant, funny and full of knowledge about the places we visited. Thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommended.

Great experience with a very brilliant guide! After visiting Joburg with the hop-on hop-off bus we got to the Soweto tour, really recommend.
