Jozani Forest has several habitats including Swamp Forest, Evergreen Thickets, Mangroves, as well as a variety of wildlife, including sykes and red colobus monkeys, and lots of birdlife. After visiting the monkeys, you will walk across to the Pete-Jozani Mangrove Boardwalk, which entwines through coral thicket vegetation, mangrove forest and across a creek.

Wir haben die Fahrt vor Ort privat mit unserem guten Freund Captain Piilo von Nungwi gebucht. Der Kontakt läuft immer schnell und unkompliziert und alles verläuft reibungslos +255 622 227 709 (Whatsapp) Die Fahrt ist recht lang, aber mit Piilo wird es nicht langweilig. Zu unserer Überraschung hat er uns einen deutschsprachigen Guide an die Seite gestellt - Said. Das fanden wir sehr aufmerksam, da wir nicht danach gefragt hatten. Super! Im Wald haben wir erst einen schönen Spaziergang gemacht. Man konnte einige Affen in den Bäumen toben sehen. Der Wald ist wunderschön. Das Mosquitospray hatten wir umsonst mitgenommen, Insekten gab es zumindest an diesem Tag keine. Danach ging es zu den Mangroven. Absolut sehenswert. Danach haben wir in einem anderen Waldstück die Affen gesucht und gefunden. Dort sind tolle Fotos entstanden und mit Said war es immer sehr informativ.

Nous y sommes venus en taxi . Un bien bel endroit où on peut approcher de très près les singes endémiques , le colobe roux de Zanzibar . Une belle demi journée à se promener et voir d'autres choses mais ne marchant pas très bien, nous n'avons pas tout vu . C'est une belle rencontre . N'emmenez rien à manger, ils ont un régime spéciale qu'ils trouvent dans la nature alors oublions l'éternelle banane . c'est non !
