We love this charming nightlife tour! You will get a chance to enjoy many kinds of sushi and yakitori (skewers) as well as classic RAMEN! (on everyone’s MUST-TRY LIST) Throughout your adventure, you will have the chance to try 10 different Japanese foods. Start your tour by walking through the busy streets of Shinjuku heading straight for Omoide Yokocho (literally “Memory Lane”) as our first stop. Omoide Yokocho is rightfully named as it is littered with rustic food stalls and bars from the 1950s. You’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back in time to the middle of the 20th century. Many of these spots still stay true to their roots, serving roasted giblets with beef and pork, which was a staple when food was scarce after World War II. We will have a drink together and some skewers in one of the most charming parts of Tokyo; it will give you a very authentic feeling of Japan as you dine mostly with locals. (Please NOTE this tour is for Adults over 20 years of Age)

Me and my sister did this on our first night in the country and What an introduction! Sandra was amazing. Fun, informative, friendly and very accommodating to the hard of hearing individual in our group. Aside from the tour she also gave us some great local recommendations for spas and public baths. We felt comfortable and looked after every step of the way and would tell anybody to book a tour. 10/10

The Guide was very friendly and provided interesting information about the areas we visited on the tour. The tour was a little disorganised, as the guide did not pre-arrange seating times with restaurants. We were rejected from a couple of restaurants because they could not accommodate our group size. There was standing room only in the last venue that we visited, and it was very uncomfortable. For a tour this expensive, we expected to have guaranteed seating at venues. We recommend that the Guide agrees seating times with the venues beforehand. Overall, we were pleased with the tour and the Guide’s knowledge.

Loved our food tour with Sandra, a wonderful way to see and eat Japanese food that we would not otherwise try. Sandra picked three delicious types of Japanese food, which I cannot tell you as it needs to be a surprise, but each were fabulous and my husband and I left very full.. so lots of food. We stopped along the way to see the sights, feel the vibe of Shinjuku and learn some interesting facts.. thanks Sandra for a wonderful evening.. Mike and Cathy Toronto Canada.
