    Depart Christchurch and travel through the beautiful rural pastoral scenes of North Canterbury to Kaikoura where the mountains meet the sea. Once in Kaikoura, a Whale Watch Cruise or flight is made and you will look out for the majestic Sperm Whales and Dusky Dolphins. Sightings can also include the Southern Right Whale, Humpback and Pilot Whales. After your cruise or flight, enjoy a cafe lunch followed by a drive to a lookout with spectacular views of peninsula and the Pacific Ocean.

Tämä on oikein hyvä retki. Opas + kuljettaja Dave selitti paljon historiasta, kulttuurista , luonnosta ja eläimistä ajomatkalla Kaikouraan . Valasretki tapahtui suurella uudella katamaraanialuksella . Retkeen sisältyi lounas ennen paluumatkaa Christchurciin. Oikein hyvä kokonaisuus kauniissa säässä ! Suosittelen ehdottomasti .

We had an absolutely amazing time on the whale watching excursion. The entire day was made magical by our tour guide Mandy. She had driven us from Queenstown the day prior and was truly a joy to spend time with. Mandy was knowledgeable and personable. She also made sure to tailor every stop to our taste. 10/10 recommend the tour and 12/10 recommend Mandy.

El barco no zarpó por culpa de unas fuertisimas rachas de viento por lo que no pudimos ver ballenas. Por suerte, nuestros guías de Canterbury Trails, Hugo y John, nos acompañaron durante todo el día y nos hicieron un recorrido por Kaikoura. Nos llevaron a ver la colonia de focas y leones marinos en varias localizaciones, explicándonos todo lo necesario sobre la zona. Y se esforzaron en que pasáramos un gran día a pesar de todo. Incluso nos llevaron llevaron comer langosta en un puesto de comida al lado del mar. Recién pescado. Sin duda, Hugo y John son grandes profesionales, además de grandes personas, preparados para dar más del 100%.
