    The Nine Arch Bridge, also called as the Bridge in the Sky, is a bridge in Sri LankaLocally it is known as ‘Ahas Namaye Palama’ meaning nine skies bridge in Sinhala. The name derives from the visual experience. . It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country.The construction of the bridge is generally attributed to a local Ceylonese builder, P. K. Appuhami, in consultation with British engineers. Commissioned under the British in the year 1921, the Nine Arch Bridge stands proudly, a testament to the engineering and architectural brilliance of the early 20th century. Ideally placed between the Ella and Demodara railway station, those choosing to walk along the bridge will be presented with scenes of rolling hills and dense jungle to delight in.

    Named after its resemblance to the iconic Adam’s Peak/Sri Pada, Little Adam’s Peak is its smaller brother and a must-visit when in Ella. The hike to the top of Little Adam’s Peak is fairly easy; the peak is 1141m high.It is also incredibly easy to find the path to Little Adam’s Peak since it is clearly marked.

    This waterfall measures approximately 25 m (82 ft) in height and cascades from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop. During the local wet season, the waterfall turns into what is said to resemble an areca flower with withering petals. But this is not the case in the dry season, where the flow of water reduces dramatically. The falls form part of the Ravana Ella Wildlife Sanctuary, and is located 6 km (3.7 mi) away from the local railway station at Ella.

This is a great way to see a lot of Ella in a short time. The trip was seamless, Dinesh our driver was great and we got to see a lot. The lunch which was included in the trip was excellent!

Brilliant tour even though it was an early start. Climbing up little Adam's peak before it got busy and too hot. Amazing views. Walking down the train tracks to the nine arch bridge and then taking the train to ride over it was a great experience. Overall the trip was very well planned and our driver kept looking after us making sure we got on and off the train safely with no issues. Lunch was also included Would highly recommend the trip and Bentota Travel Mart.
