Travel in our comfortable 4WD to visit Seal Bay, take a stroll to observe the Sea lions sleeping on the beach, look for koalas and wallabies, enjoy a gourmet BBQ lunch (included) and have a nice cup of coffee watching the kangaroos at sunset on the North Coast ... this is what you can do and much more! You will have an experienced tour guide all for your group (max 8 passengers) and with their experience you will be able to observe the wildlife in their natural habitat. ***Unfortunately this tour is not suitable for cruise ship passengers arriving to the island because we will finish later than the last ship tender***

    At Seal Bay CP we will admire Sea Lions resting on the beach. The guide will take you to the beach, just a few meters from them.

  • Duck Lagoon, South Australia, Australia
    The tour will head to Duck Lagoon, where you will be able to see a lot of parrots, including the Crimson Rosella and Rainbow Loricket; eucalyptus flourishes on the shores of the freshwater lagoon formed by the Cygnet River, and you can spot Koalas there.

  • Emu Bay, Emu Bay, South Australia, Australia
    After lunch, we will visit the Emu Bay beach, where sometimes dolphins swimming close to the shore may be spotted. This beach is one of the most beautiful and safest swimming locations on the island, and in the summer, we will stop for a swimming break (if possible),

  • Stokes Bay, Stokes Bay, South Australia, Australia
    At Stokes Bay in the evening, you can spot a lot of Kangaroos and Wallabies that come out to graze. Stokes Bay is also famous for its tunnel between the rocks to reach the beach in front of it. Near the bay, you will be able to see a couple more Koalas. At the end of the tour, after seeing Sea Lions, Kangaroos, Koalas, Wallabies and, if you are lucky enough, even an Echidna up close, we will take you back to your hotel, or to the airport/ferry port.

  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

We had an amazing day with Luca, exploring Kangaroo Island! He showed us all the best spots and shared so much about the island's history and wildlife. We saw so much more than we ever could have on our own. Kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, echidna ... Stopped so many times on the way in the wildlife... Wonderful! Luca is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly - we highly recommend Kangaroo Island Hire a Guide! Thank you so much!!!

Un’esperienza indimenticabile. Posti meravigliosi, a Seal bay in mezzo ai leoni marini abbiamo pianto per l’emozione. Una menzione speciale per Nikki Redman. Una guida eccezionale con una capacità di relazione e una cultura della natura dell’isola rari. Felici anche di aver contribuito alla raccolta del rubbish che qualche simpatico lascia in giro. Ci rimarrà impressa per il resto dei nostri giorni.

Let me start by saying that Luca and Nikki were incredible guides. My husband and I spent 2 days on Kangaroo Island but only for the first we had a booked tour (Seal Bay). When Luca came to pick us up we found out that we would be the 2 of us the only guests on the tour and having Luca as an exclusive guide was really a great opportunity! He took us around the island.to see kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, sea lions and echidnas. Also when he learned that the next day we would still spend it on the island but without plans (in winter the island is deserted and many businesses are closed), first he helped us contact the travel agency to see if we could return earlier. In Adelaide, when we later realized that transport did not allow it he proposed to join at a discounted price the 4 Spaniards who the next day would do the tour of Flinders Chase with his colleague Nikki. Nikki was incredibly welcoming and both she and Luca taught us a lot about the flora and fauna of the island. Tours include a breakfast and lunch prepared by Luca at the barbecue areas available on the island. For us the experience was amazing and we highly recommend it to those passing by KI. Thank you so much Luca and Nikki because you made us spend 2 beautiful days and this experience we will take with us forever (especially petting a small joey). You were truly two incredible guides!
