Langtang valley is the shortest trek from Kathmandu. Stunning mountain landscapes, including the Langtang Lirung and other peaks, surround the Langtang Valley. The trek offers panoramic views of these peaks, surrounding forests, and terraced fields. The Langtang Valley is home to the Tamang people, who have a rich culture and history. The trek passes through small villages and offers the opportunity to interact with the local community and learn about their way of life.

Huge thanks to our guide Balu and all the team at Magical Nepal for a truly unique and amazing experience on the Langtang Valley Trek. Everything ran incredibly smoothly from transport, accomodation, food, and scheduling. Our guide Balu was great fun and really made the trip. He went the extra mile in making sure we had the best experience including customising our trip to hike a bit further but experience part of the Langtang heritage trail when we found that we had extra time on the way back. This meant new views and getting to experience more of rural life in the national park away from the main trail. Excellent choice of tea house accomodation too, which far exceeded my expectations. The trek was tough, especially climbing Chergori, but Balu kept us positive and motivated! Magical Nepal have been great and very professional. Good communication, easy booking, and friendly staff! Even took us out for lunch when we got back from the trek. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing time on the Langtang Valley trek. I went with my 3 childhood friends and we were paired up with our guide, Dil Man and two porters, Jay and Hira. I have some backpacking and hiking experience, but this was my first time at high altitude. I thought the trek was a perfect level of challenge (a true sense of accomplishment to complete/astonishing views!) without being grueling (we mostly hiked 5-6 hours a day). The hotels we stayed at along the way were 'basic' (no guarantee of hot shower) but always had a cozy dining room where we had plenty to eat. It was just the right amount of 'roughing it' to make you appreciate the little luxuries in life. Our guide Dil Man truly made the trip. He is such a kind and gentle person, never rushed us, kept the energy positive, and always had snacks for us. Our two porters were also exceptional and stayed by our sides, whatever our pace. My favorite part of the trip was getting to experience the culture of Nepalis living in remote mountain villages and hiking along side the beautiful LangTang river. I highly recommend this trek to anyone looking for adventure!
