My friend and I got recommend to this lovely hotel in Kathmandu called "The Flying Yak" cute and cosy hotel with very forthcoming and super friendly staff.
Starting from housekeeping to all the way up including the management.
Immediately taking care of our trekking as soon as we made up our mind about the choices we've been presented , the Adventure Masters deserve their name by literally offering a grand variety of smooth, well organized, professional treks.
We've been provided with one of the finest guides that the mountains of the Himalayas has to offer, he exceeded our expectations, amplified our experience to an unimaginable unique adventure and guides us every step along the journey as if he was one of us, we grew together throughout these 10 days and couldn't have been happier with this experience.
About the guide:
In the simplest words... Saroj Bhandari, a man that will always be remembered for his uniqueness.
A very kind, insightful, well organized and aware human being that grew up on the country side of this beautiful country that will take you on enchanting explorational journeys each and every day of the trekk.
He knows the mountains as well as the mountains know him, the people of the mountains welcome him with the most respect an open heart and lots of love as that is how he's treating everyone that crosses paths with his spirit.
Active, motivated, proffesionell, fun and very spontaneous at times that always lead to a great time.
Amazingly easy with everyone and very close to the people of the land that keep the environment well taken care of for everyone to enjoy and feel welcomed.
Saroj is unique in many ways, most in which his spontaneous nature accomodates everyones needs and exceed everyone's expectations, providing us with the most beautiful and unique homestays to feel closer and more connected with the people of the mountains and showing us the hidden gems of the land.
A person that has been involved in our well being and gave us an unforgettable experience every step along the way, not just a guide but a beautiful human being that turns into a friend with every story told and experiences exchanged.
My personal believe is that, that's the kind of human you want to be guided by in the mountains, where the weather can get rough and change up quickly.
His expended knowledge about the nature, the variety of people & communities that share the mountains, made us feel like a part of it all.
The trekk was one breathtaking experience, but the heart, emotions, sweat and dedication invested along the journey created an absolute heartwarming experience and direct connection to the land.
