Peneda-Gerês National Park - Where adventure meets nature, tradition and culture. If you are a water lover and a nature addict this experience is for you! Surrounded by mountain landscapes: join us on a day tour that combines kayaking, tasty food, a waterfall, and amazing places to swim! Explore the National Park with a Kayak activity in the Caniçada reservoir (apx. 1h30 min). The magnificent landscape will be your background for the morning, while you can be active by paddling and swimming around the lake. Take a pit stop on a small sandy beach, to swim, relax and try stand up paddle. Savour a traditional meal in a local and welcoming restaurant with fair, delicious food and wine included! After lunch is the moment where a (easy/moderate) walk will take you to a stunningshing waterfall, you'll be able to ground​ yourself, swim and enjoy the magic! ​Throughout the day, you will learn about the cultural and traditional aspects of the villages in the Park.

My husband and I had a fabulous day with Ines! She is so kind, fun and helpful. She is a bright personality and we enjoyed the day with her! Kayaking, swimming and hiking to the waterfall were great! Definitely wear your good traction shoes and bring a change of clothes or dry tee shirt. The day ended with a relaxing drink overlooking the water. We loved the experience!

Such a beautiful, invigorating adventure! We kayaked, savored an incredible lunch, took breaks for coffee and jaw-dropping views, drove up and down winding mountain roads, and plunged into an ice-cold swimming hole beneath a waterfall with our vibrant and knowledgeable guide Inês. Highly recommend this day trip for those who love being active in nature and escaping the crowds in Portugal’s beautiful cities.

Our guide, Nuno, made the whole experience really memorable! He was full of enthusiasm and energy and was great company throughout the trip. We enjoyed all the activities but for me the waterfall in particular was spectacular! We had the whole area to ourselves. We were able to climb behind the waterfall and jump into the pool! The water is so clean and clear there. The kayaking was also great, again, we had the whole lake practically to ourselves! I had great fun trying the SUP too. I would highly recommend this adventure! If we come back to Porto or the surrounding areas (which we very likely will) we will come back again to Peneda-Gerês and do the hiking tour to take in the breathtaking views in the park. If you’re very lucky, Nuno will be your guide and you’ll have an even better time!!!
