Arriving in the Zone there was an obscure beauty in what had been practically quarantined from the rest of the civilised world. A forest buried by man, and a city buried by forest, and a lot of secrets left behind in the forgotten outpost of the ages. Our guide Sergei, spoke fluent English and took us through what must have been the most incredible, yet humbling experience I had ever witnessed. It was truly indescribable and pictures can only tell so much of the story. It is an absolute must to see these things in person and they will help you do that. From the Red Forest to Pripyat, and Pripyat to forgotten labs on the outskirts, I one hundred percent recommend this tour to anybody looking for to be lost in a land with an overshadowing omnipresent enemy awaits you behind every heavy step you take.
