Innisfallen Island is a real hidden gem in Killarney. The monastery on Innisfallen was founded in the 7th century making it older than the monastery on Skellig Michael. Innisfallen is a magical place, with beautiful flora and fauna, if your lucky you might even see some of the Sika deer that live on the island. Ruins of a 12th century Augustinian Priory & Romanesque Church are still on the Island today for you to explore. There is limited access permitted to the island daily so be sure to book your place.

Ruins of a 12th century Augustinian Priory & Romanesque Church are still on the Island today. Our tours leave daily on our traditional red boats at Reen Pier (near Ross Castle) from 10am-5pm daily and last 1-1.5 hrs. Boats leave every hour on the hour Explore this magical island & learn about its vast history.

The boat ride was a fun way to start the tour to the island. Driver very informative and friendly tour guide. In awe of the history of how monks lived in 640AD.

Nature, history and beauty. Followed the herd of deer around the island. Enjoyed the shared knowledge of our guide. We were a group of 5 and had the boat and island to ourselves. I could have spent an entire day there in the quiet. A good way to get away from the small crowds (there weren't much to be honest) and enjoy an overlooked gem in Killarney. Much more enjoyable than the larger tour boats. Great memories to last.

Beautiful gem of an island, time to walk the whole way round whilst we were there. Very informative tour guide for the boat trip. Visited the monastry and churhc ruins, so much history in one tiny island. Highly recommended.
