Koh Samui Airport Departure – Shared Transfer

Yes you can experience tranquility at an airport, Samui Airport is proof of that. The minute I stepped out of the transfer bus, I forgot that I had just arrived at an international airport: there were no hassles, no hussles, no brashness! The staff were patient and helpful and there was a clearly indicated, logical flow of passengers from drop off to boarding. The airport is decorated in an authentic style and exudes the ambience of a nice holiday resort. It’s a refreshingly calm and efficient airport. These and many more pleasant things make your passage through Samui Airport a lovely experience. Tip: Remember to use your insect repellant if you are prone to insect bites, like I am, especially if you plan to spend some time walking in the open before departure.

Absolutely love Koh Samui Airport. So Beautiful and well taken care of, The Staff are friendly and helpful, and where else do you get a complementary food section!?? - Where anyone can help themselves to food/drink/snacks while you wait to board your flight. Because the airport is small and well managed, you can arrive 10 mins before your boarding gate opens without a problem. We took a ferry from Koh Tao, had 2 hours before our flight once we hit the dock on Koh Samui... our transfer waiting for us and everything was perfect up until we hit the Koh Samui traffic. It’s 12kms from the port to the airport, and it took us over an hour to get there in the traffic... quite stressful and unpleasant, but once we arrived at the airport (10 mins to boarding) they pushed us to the front of the line to check in our bags and ushered us through to our gate in less than 5 mins. Koh Samui Airport can teach a few things to the likes of Heathrow and Dubai Airports.

Taxi arrived on time and the driver was pleasant and helpful. I also ended up having a private transfer, as there were no other pick ups. I did have to call the company the day before to check pick up time.
