Discover charming streets of medieval Piran followed by UNESCO karst attraction – the Skocjan Caves with fantastic underground natural phenomena. Get to know Piran, the charming fishermen’s town which is the best-preserved cultural monument in the Slovenian Istria. Venetian architecture, the town’s medieval narrow streets, beautiful picturesque seaside. The trip will continue to the Karst region to enjoy the spectacular karst cave at Skocjan, listed on the UNESCO protection list. Tasting the local Karst air-dried ham with wine Teran – produced only in Karst region, is a must when travelling in this area. Next stop is Lipica stud farm, the homeland of the white Lipizzaner horse, especially bred for the Spanish riding school in Vienna. Return to Koper.

Me and my friend had a fantastic tour together with our guide B.. Not only could he tell us a lot about the sights we were visiting but could answer all sorts of questions regarding Slovenia and the Balkan. With lots of humour, laughter, ‚ohh‘s and ‚ahhh‘s, this tour became one we will never forget. The tour itself also shows a lot of Slovenia‘s diversity in Vegetation, Architecture, Food and Language - everything within 11 hours and each sight full of content. Time flew fast and we are looking forward to visit Slovenia once again!
