This private tour of Kotor Old Town starts at the Main Gate and after short introduction about the history of this UNESCO enlisted town, we proceed towards the main square called Square of Arms. The charm of Kotor’s squares and old family homes of local aristocracy is a journey through time to the golden age of Kotor. After getting familiar with the life of the locals, strolling through the narrow streets, we will reach the Cathedral of St. Tryphon, one of the best-preserved monuments from the 12th century. Kotor is also known for the long seafaring tradition so after the Cathedral, we will reach the Museum square. The tour will continue towards the orthodox churches of St. Nicolas and St. Luke where we will learn about their importance with which we will make final touch and the story of Kotor complete.     Kotor Walking tour on foot starts at the Main Gate and after short introduction about history of this UNESCO enlisted town we proceed to the main square called Square of Arms. The charm of Kotor’s squares and old family homes of local aristocracy will help you imagine life in golden age of Kotor. We had a wonderful guide, who gave us exactly the right amount of information on what the Old Town of Kotor had to show, as well as some general information on Montenegro. The duration is just right, allowing you to get a feeling about the area, and then allowing you to further explore whatever you felt like getting more details on. I would definitely recommend this Tour !

Nikola was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and easy to talk to. We learned so much about Kotor’s history, culture, and both past and present politics, giving us a deeper perspective on the city and Montenegro. Arriving by tender was dramatic, and the first view of this cool medieval city was unforgettable. Even a sudden downpour couldn’t spoil the experience—Kotor’s unique beauty, clean streets, and friendly people made it feel magical. This was the perfect way to start our holiday in Kotor. Our guide was really good, gave us a great history lesson and top tips for our stay. He also talked to us about living in Kotor and Montenegro, which was very interesting . We were very lucky to pick a day when there were no cruise ships in, and we started early. Given how hot it was and how busy it became even without the ships passengers, we could have quite easily started at 8am. Bear this in mind when booking your time slot. Would definitely recommend this tour.
