    Auschwitz is known world-wide, the city's name is a symbol of martyrdom of the millions. The Nazis established the Auschwitz concentration camp in April 1940. Enlarged in the subsequent years, it became a site of mass genocide. Some 1.5 million people of 28 nationalities died here. In 1979 the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp was entered into the UNESCO World Heritage List. The site was turned into a museum in 1947, and is known as the Memorial to the Martyrdom of the Polish and Other Nations. You will be picked-up from your accommodation at 7:00 am, after 1,5-2h drive your tour starts in Auschwitz at 9:00 am. That type of sightseeing includes specialist tour of the Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau camps, enhanced with selected national exhibitions, the so-called Central Sauna, also the ruins of gas chambers and crematoria IV and V. After finishing sightseeing, the driver will drive you back to Krakow.

    Used Poland active as we were unable to book a French tour directly from the official site. Efficient option as all is organised and makes the trip very easy. Would recommand.

    Obviously a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau is a sobering event but it's hard to imagine not going when in the area. Michael kindly provided our private transfer to and from the location and he was informative and friendly - kudos to him for his role in making this a good experience. Our guide in the camps was also excellent as she walked up through the buildings and also shared a bit of her own personal connection. Overall I can't think of any way in which this trip could have been improved - it was very efficiently organized and exactly as described.

    Mycket bra tur med Patrick, som hämtade oss utanför vårt hotell. Vi fick en guide från Polen som kunde engelska bra, men med polsk accent. Hon var ibland svår att förstå. Besöket var väldigt prisvärt och minnesvärt. Må aldrig detta få ske igen. Historien får aldrig upprepas. Krakow är en underbar stad att besöka med alla sevärdheter, restauranger och barer. Priserna är helt ok även om svenska kronan tappat lite köpkraft.
