    The history of Wieliczka dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was proudly named the Magnum Sal – the Great Salt. In the 13th century it was known as the largest source of salt in Poland. Our tour leader will help you to get inside the Museum.

The trip was ok, but couldn’t hear the tour guide, or when you could, you couldn’t understand him as he had such a strong accent.

The carvings were amazing. I needed a lift and said so many times. Two days before I checked again and that was when I learned I needed a reservation. They sent an email. However, I never heard back. I had to do the steps. A few months from 70, I use a cane, had open heart surgery , 3 strokes, stent in my chest, neck and brain and a pace maker. I struggled but did about 600 of the 800 stairs. I then was escorted to a small lift to get out. That was very hard.
